- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 8 ounces of Brie cheese, sliced into 1-inch squares
- 1 cup of pistachios, shelled and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth it out and thin it slightly.
- Cut the puff pastry into 2-inch squares.
- Place a square of Brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Top each piece of Brie with a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and a pinch of fresh thyme if using.
- Fold the corners of the puff pastry square over the Brie to create a package, pinching the seams to seal them.
- Roll the sealed Brie bites in the chopped pistachios until coated.
- Place on the baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm as an appetizer or snack. Pair with fresh fruits or crackers.
