Delightful bites of creamy Brie cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, topped with crunchy pistachios and drizzled with honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces of Brie cheese, sliced into 1-inch squares
  • 1 cup of pistachios, shelled and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth it out and thin it slightly.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 2-inch squares.
  4. Place a square of Brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Top each piece of Brie with a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and a pinch of fresh thyme if using.
  6. Fold the corners of the puff pastry square over the Brie to create a package, pinching the seams to seal them.
  7. Roll the sealed Brie bites in the chopped pistachios until coated.
  8. Place on the baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack. Pair with fresh fruits or crackers.
