- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add the pasta, stirring to submerge it in the broth, and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Once cooked and most liquid absorbed, reduce heat to low.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve hot with extra Parmesan and parsley.
Notes
Stir pasta occasionally while cooking to prevent sticking. Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor.
