Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Stir in the rice and mix well.
- Pour in the beef broth, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked.
- Stir in heavy cream and butter, then add cheese until melted.
- Adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with green onions if desired before serving.
Notes
For a twist, feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or peas. If you prefer a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream alternative.
