A comforting and hearty one-pot meal combining ground beef, pasta shells, and a creamy sauce.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups medium pasta shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it starts to brown.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce, then stir to combine.
  5. Add the medium pasta shells to the skillet, ensuring they are submerged.
  6. Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted, then add heavy cream and mix well.
  8. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For creamier results, experiment with different cheeses such as mozzarella or pepper jack. Can add veggies like spinach or bell peppers.
