Delicious and easy chicken bites coated in a crispy breading and tossed in a sweet honey BBQ sauce, perfect for a quick meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cut chicken and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally roll in the breadcrumbs.
  5. Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with olive oil. Arrange the chicken bites in a single layer and air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
  6. Meanwhile, whisk BBQ sauce and honey in a small bowl.
  7. Once cooked, transfer the chicken bites to a bowl, pour the sauce over them, and toss gently.
  8. Serve warm as an appetizer, snack, or part of a meal.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by varying the amount of honey and feel free to experiment with different BBQ sauces.
